4-Year-Old Injured in St. Paul Hit-and-Run Out of Hospital

A 4-year-old boy injured in a hit-and-run in St. Paul is out of the hospital.
Tyrell Baymon suffered a fractured skull and broken ribs when he was hit by a motorcycle in the 300 block of Lafond Avenue May 19. Baymon was crossing the street with his mother at the time, en route to his own birthday party.
The man accused of hitting the boy, 25-year-old Ernest Jones of St. Paul, pleaded guilty earlier this month to two counts of criminal vehicular operation. Witnesses told police the motorcycle was speeding and doing wheelies before the boy was hit.
Baymon had been at Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul. He was discharged Friday.
