Man Killed in Fall from Minn. Cellphone Tower Identified
Authorities have identified the 19-year-old communications tower climber who died Tuesday after falling from a cellphone tower in northern Minnesota.
The Beltrami County sheriff's Office says Jeremy Jo Froemke of Lisbon, N.D., was killed on impact after falling 153 feet to the ground.
The sheriff's office received several 911 calls just before 6 p.m. reporting the fall near Solway, which is about 10 miles west of Bemidji.
Froemke was equipped with a safety harness at the time of the accident.
Sheriff Phil Hodapp says Froemke worked for Midwest Steeplejacks in Fargo, N.D.
