EmailU of M World Music Ensemble Presents Afro-Brazilian Carnaval Live
The University of Minnesota’s World Music Ensemble is bringing Afro-Brazilian Carnaval music to the community. Carnaval is an annual Brazilian festival that’s held 46 days before Easter.
Music lovers can listen to the sounds of Rio de Janeiro and Salvador da Bahia from the music ensemble and its artist-in-residence, Eliezer Freitas Santos.
The concert takes place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at Lloyd Ultan Recital Hall. It’s free and open to the public.
