Thanksgiving Meals On Wheels Has Record Year

Think you have a lot of work to do prepping your Thanksgiving meal tomorrow?

Try cooking for thousands of people.

That's what's going on in St Paul, as volunteers prepare for the biggest Thanksgiving Meals On Wheels ever.

Here it is by the numbers: 7,500 pounds of turkey, 200 cases of gravy, and countless pounds of fixings going to more than 18,000 people in need across the metro.

The charity's founder says it's not just how many people they serve, but who is in need that's changing.

"There's a bigger need, but different people," said Bill Foussard. "You think you're doing well and stuff and you come to the holidays and people are hurting."

If you want to help out, you can show up to Cretin Derham Hall in St Paul around 6:30 Thursday morning to help deliver the meals.
