Ken Barlow - Morning Chief Meteorologist

Previous Experience
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS welcomed Ken Barlow back to Minnesota television in June 2011.  Barlow brings more than 20 years of weather forecasting experience, including 16 years in Minnesota, to the station.  Barlow left Minnesota in 2006 and went to WBZ-TV in Boston, MA until May 2010.  He spent a year at KXTV in Sacramento, CA before joining the 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS team.

Ken is a graduate of Plymouth State University (New Hampshire) with a BS in Meteorology.

Career Highlights/Awards
Ken has been nationally recognized for excellence in his field. He’s a multiple Emmy Award winner for his work in Minnesota and Boston. Additionally, Ken served as an adjunct professor of broadcast meteorology at St. Cloud State University.

Personal Interests
Ken has served on several children's charities including the Board of Trustees of the Boys and Girls Club of Minneapolis. He also enjoys running, biking and swimming. Ken, his wife Theresa and his family live in the western suburbs.
