Jennifer Griswold - Reporter

“I love my job,” says Jennifer Griswold. "I'm constantly learning from the people I meet in the field and from my incredible co-workers here at 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS.”

Previous experience
Jennifer joined 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS in April 2006 as morning reporter. Before moving to the Twin Cities, she continuously monitored stories on the 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS website: “I’m amazed by the talent and commitment at this station,” says Jennifer. She was previously morning anchor from 2003 to 2006 at WAOW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin. Before that, Jennifer worked on the weekend assignment desk for one year at WISN-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She also interned at WMTV-TV in Madison, Wisconsin, in 2002. She was a 2005 co-host of the Childrens Miracle Network telethon.

Education
Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She graduated in the top 15% of her class, and in the Honors Program.

Personal interests
Jennifer is excited to stay in the Midwest, which she calls the most beautiful part of the country. “I’m used to the cold weather, so Minnesota is perfect for me.” Jennifer enjoys reading a good book, watching movies, spending time with family and friends and watching baseball (she’s a Brewers fan). She also has a cat named Athens. Jennifer grew up in a small town just north of Milwaukee, and she goes there often to visit her mom.
