Emily Engberg joins the “Twin Cities Live” team as a field reporter beginning November 16, 2009.
“TWIN CITIES LIVE” WELCOMES EMILY ENGBERG AS FIELD REPORTER
Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – Emily Engberg joins the “Twin Cities Live” team as a field reporter beginning November 16, 2009. Emily comes to Minnesota from Milwaukee where she was an anchor/reporter for WDJT.
“Twin Cities Live” executive producer Mandy Grosser says, “We are so excited to have Emily join John & Elizabeth on air. Her talent in covering the events and people that make Minnesota so unique will no doubt push our show to the next level.”
“I can't wait to be a part of the show and to call the Twin Cities home. I'm looking forward to seeing everything the area has to offer. I think I will be a great fit," Emily said.
Emily enjoys following sports, especially baseball. She gets her love of the game from her dad who was the public address announcer for the Bees, a minor league team in her hometown of Burlington, Iowa.
She is passionate about being involved in her community. In1999, she was named Miss Burlington, Iowa and went on to be a finalist at the 2000 Miss Iowa Scholarship Program. There she was the recipient of the State of Iowa Community Service Award for her extensive volunteer work for Breast Cancer Awareness. Emily has also helped the Muscular Dystrophy Association where she served as a host for the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. She looks forward to staying involved with MDA in the Twin Cities.
Emily is a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State. She and her husband are moving to the Twin Cities with their beloved Shih Tzu, Sammy.
