Searching for Twins Fans in the Bronx

What's seeing the Twins face the Yankees worth to you? It's a question Twins fans are asking themselves.

Tickets to game three of the American League Division Series Sunday at the Metrodome sold out in a hurry.

All day Wednesday, fans showed up at the Metrodome ticket window looking for tickets. But unless they had reserved them online or on the phone Tuesday, they were out of luck.

Mimi Helseth of Inver Grove Heights was one of the lucky ones.

She said, "Redial after redial, it took me two hours to get through. But, I kept going. I had to get tickets."

There are tickets available on ticket resale web sites. But they're selling for big bucks.

Some fans said they're willing to pay. But police issued a warning. They said don't buy just buy tickets anywhere because it can be tough to tell which tickets are real and which ones are fake.

Minneapolis police Sgt. Jesse Garcia said, "You won't be able to tell until you actually get to the game. It's either going to scan good or scan bad."

Police suggest buying tickets from a sites that offer a guarantee on the tickets they're selling.

Anyone who decides not to shell out lots of cash for a ticket to the game can get a small taste of the excitement. Homer Hankies are back and they're on sale at all Twins Pro Shops and the Twins Metrodome ticket office for just $2 a piece.

Another note, all tickets to Sunday's game will be sold on strips. They must be picked up at the box office or from the seller. You cannot print tickets to Sunday's game online.
