Retailers Could be Winners in Tie-breaker Game
Retailers could be the real winners in Tuesday's division tie-breaker game between the Twins and Detroit Tigers.
Long before Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals was even over, fans were lining up to buy tickets to Tuesday's game. But it is not just tickets they are buying.
"It's been a madhouse and shirts lasted maybe ten minutes," said Dallas Anderson.
T-shirts commemorating the last game at the Metrodome sold out Sunday. Hubert's Bar across the street from the Dome said playoff fever can bring in up to 20-percent more business.
The Hilton Hotel said it's already had baseball fans ask to extend their stay through Tuesday. They expect more walk-ins on game day.
