May 7, 2009: What To Wear!

 I have been blessed with three amazing sisters, truly amazing sisters.  They have been there through great times and through terrible times, leading their baby sister through life.  They are each their own person but all three possess amazing traits.  They are kind, loyal and truthful.  The last of those three traits is the trait that has come in handy when it comes to a very important part in any woman’s life….getting dressed.  I felt doubly blessed when I found out that my two best friends held the same trait.  So, I can feel pretty good when I go out with any of them because I know that they have told me exactly like is!  The truth comes out during our ritual of standing in front of each other asking how each of our body parts look, and they are brutally honest, but I love it.   So I felt like there wasn’t anything missing when it came to this part of my life, until I had to dress for Twin Cities Live.  I was getting by with help from my Executive Producer who is great at helping me get dressed every day, but we were both pleasantly surprised when we found the women who work at Corset in Hopkins.  WOW!  That’s all I can say.  I have never felt so completely understood when it comes to clothes and what I should wear. 

Carrie Leum and her sister Becky Martin and the other two girls who work at Corset are amazing at what they do.  I stood there as they sized me up and down, never once making me worry about my “problem areas”, they did it, truthfully, only as a sister could.  They then brought in the most adorable clothes, outfits that were stylish and put together, a perfect combination of hip and professional.  Out of probably the dozen outfits I tried on, only one was a miss, how is that for aim!  You’re probably thinking that I was getting special treatment since they are the clothing sponsor for TCL, nope!  Carrie and Becky don’t just sell their clothes, they style their clients, giving them the same attention I received.  So out of that wonderful experience I not only came away with a wonderful wardrobe, I came away with two other women who I now put in the same category as my sisters!  How lucky can a girl get?
