February 27, 2009 – Being A Better Woman
I am so excited for today’s show. I know a few months ago I blogged about how I think moms need to help each other out. Meaning, you see a kid throwing a fit in a grocery store, and you give them a quick smile as a gesture that everything is going to be o.k. Well today we’ve got an entire segment about how all women need to be better to each other. I couldn’t agree more. I am a firm believer that women need to stick together. We shouldn’t look at each other as competition, but rather a support system. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that I haven’t watched an awards ceremony and dissed what celebrities were wearing and how they looked. But, I admit I did it because it makes me feel better about myself. Somehow I think that because they’re celebrities they’re on a different level, so me saying something rude, isn’t really the same. I think, though, that the more I do it to unsuspecting celebrities, the more that behavior can leak into my everyday life. So starting today, I’m going to try and be a little more positive. Try, being the key word here. We’ll see if it helps, but I can’t wait until 3 o’clock, when Dr. Verna Price has some other suggestions we can do to be better women to each other. I on the other hand only have one bit of advice. You know those women who when you’re talking to them, they look you up and down? Don’t be that woman! If you miss today’s segment remember you can always go back to the home page and click on previous segments and watch it. Have a great weekend. And to all of you women…you look great!
