While I'm there, I love to hike the steep mountains near Malibu. So, my significant other, Tracy and I spent an extended weekend hitting the dirt trails just a little inland from Malibu Beach. These trails take you to heights thousands of feet. Not only is it a good workout, it's a great way to bond, and forge new relationships. My youngest son at first didn't want to hike... but after brunch over the weekend, he wanted to go. My son was born in Robbinsdale, Mn., and loves filmmaking. He and his grandma will arrive in the Twin Cities near week's end to see my Daughter's H.S. graduation next week. Tracy who has children of her own, took to Jordan immediately. You always wonder how the introduction will be taken. My son welcomed her without any reservation. I think hiking is a relaxing way to get to know each other. It allows everyone to share and talk about the outdoor beauty while making jokes, and appreciating each other's company. The photo was taken up in the mountains near Malibu Creek State Park in California.
