A "tip" for South Beach travelers
I enjoyed a wonderful vacation last week in South Beach, Miami, Florida. I got more than enough sun (as you‘ll see this weekend!), fantastic meals, and tasty drinks. And clearly, my servers enjoyed having me. Why wouldn’t they, at a “tip” rate pushing 40%! Turns out, 18% gratuities are included in the bill in Miami. It says so right there. Only I didn’t look. No excuse, I know. So in addition to the 18%, I tipped my normal 20 percent all week long. “Come back again soon,” each server said as we left. Now I understand why!
