Well... so last Thursday I was afraid the big "snow-ma-gedden", as one of my co-workers called our snow storm, was going to cancel my flight out of town. And where was I going? To more snow. Beautiful Vail Colorado! If you're a Minnesota skier and you've not made the trip out west yet, you really should. I mean its great that we have so many wonderful resorts near enough to the metro that we can all learn to ski and enjoy the winter. Skiing's a great family activity that you can do your whole life... really! This trip was with my son Connor and three of his Minnetonka Lacrosse buddies and a couple of the dads. Our host out in Vail was my son's buddy's grandfather Denny. A great guy who's about to celebrate his 70th birthday and still ski's with his wife Dee several times a week! The couple grew up in Brainerd, moved to the cities, but now enjoy the winter at their Vail home and the summer's at their Brainerd home. They've got life figured out!So here are a few photos from Vail. More than 300 feet of snow and more to come. We had two days of powder skiing, the first day an all day snow.. the second fresh powder with blue skies.
The third day? All sun. Who needs Florida. Spring is for SKIING!
