Tommy Booth disappeared from a Ridley Township, PA bar one year ago this week. He was found drowned in a shallow creek behind the bar. The case didn't make sense to the detectives. They were watching when the Smiley Face story broke on Good Morning America and went back to the bar. They found similar graffiti below the bar's deck. The detectives took another look at Tommy's case. The cause of death is undetermined drowning. It remains unsolved.
Many of the families of the victims are working together. Only they can understand the painful combination of burying a child while searching for an explanation. His mother wrote this poem and has allowed me to share it with you.
TOMMY BOOTH 8/18/83 - 1/20/08 Tommy, has it really been a year Since the last time you were here. I still cannot believe it's true Why God why did it have to be you? A family of four we used to be It's so hard to think of us just being three. How could they leave you alone up there If they were your friends, why didn't they care? They weren't your babysitter, one boldly said to me A grown man of 24, so blameless are we. Don't they realize you were my pride and joy And to me you were still my little boy. We miss you every second of every day Love you always, Mom, Tim, and Mike |
