The airmen of the Minnesota’s 133rd Air National Guard returned home from Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Life for one airmen’s family is now getting back to normal after five months apart.

While Staff Sgt. Adam Hosman was in Afghanistan, his wife Kristen took on a project at home that Adam always meant to get done.

While Hosman worked on airplanes at Bagram Air Base, his wife worked to fix up the garage at home.

Now, back at home in Burnsville, he's still overwhelmed by all his friends and family who fixed up a place he can call his own.

"People coming together for a common cause, me. Nothing like this has ever happened before I really appreciate that," Hosman said.

"I love having him home. I don't want him to ever leave again," Kristen said.
