 Al Franken and Sen. Norm Coleman put their differences aside for one day Sunday to share a podium in support of Israel.
The two sat in the front row of the Twin Cities Israel Solidarity Gathering at the Sabes Jewish Community Center in Minneapolis Sunday afternoon.
Other lawmakers in attendance included Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Sen. Mark Dayton.
The event was organized to show support for Israel and the Palestinian people and pray for peace along the Gaza Strip.
About 40 to 50 Palestinian protestors demonstrated outside the event.
