What a month

This is what dreams are made of for fans of Winter weather. December 2008 will be remembered for a long time. First nationally its has snowed in places where is usually doesn't. It snowed in Houston and Galveston, TX, New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA as well as in Las Vegas. Portland Oregon has received almost 14 inches of snow, one of their snowiest Decembers on record. Here in Minnesota we have received at least a trace of snow on 20 of the first 23 days of the month with almost 17 inches for the month. Also our average temperature is running almost 8 degrees below normal. More snow is coming!!

By the way Madison WI has had their snowiest December on record. They have had 36.3", normal is 9.6" If they reach 37" December 2008 will go down as the snowiest month ever!!
