KEATING: Don't mess around on Hwy 10, cops are everywhere

Police don't care if you know...they want you to know.  That's why they called us to get out the word that patrols are all over Highway 10 betweenn Anoka and Ramsey County looking for drunk drivers.  And if they see anyone who swerves, doesn't signal or shows any sign of being tipsy be prepared to get pulled over.

Cops hit the road at ten Friday night and I swear within three miles from where they all mounted up in Elk River I saw flashing lights on five different occasions.  Police are doing this because state data shows the two counties aren't doing well when it comes to drunk driving accidents.  In fact, of all 87 counties Anoka tallied the third most drunk driving accidents and Sherbourne came in ninth.  Numbers they are not proud of and which they want to bring down.

So watch out...because the cops are looking for you.  They really want to scare you straight so you never think you can risk getting behind the wheel...even if you've only had a drink or two.

Because the last thing you want is to have your mug shot end up on the news. Those photos never look good.
