Minnesota airmen provide medical support in Afghanistan

It is not only tactical support members of the 133rd Airlift WIng provide in Afghanistan. They also provide life-saving medical treatment and training at Bagrum Airbase.

The airmen treat injured soldiers, civilians and even Taliban fighters. They also provide critical medical training for local doctors and nurses in Afghanistan.

The emergency room treats about 600 people a month with a 96-percent survival rate. They see another 2,000 in the clinic each month.
