MCLEAN: Preparing for the trip
We leave for Afghanistan Monday morning so today is the mad dash to get ready.
We've already seen what the 133rd Airlift Wing is doing to prepare. Now you can see what I'm doing to prepare. It's not as exciting as practicing cargo drops in a combat zone. I just have to make sure to pack warm clothes and cameras.
These blog entries will get more interesting as we meet the airmen of the 133rd and start flying on the big C130 aircraft. Here's a preview video as I get ready to fly.
