Meet some of the airmen of the 133rd Airlift Wing
More US forces may shift to Afghanistan in the coming months. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said additional forces would provide more security for next year's national election. He says securing successful elections is probably the most important goal for Afghanistan next year.
The Minnesota Air National Guard is helping in that effort. The 133rd Airlift Wing leaves Monday for Aghanistan. Leah McLean and Photo Chief Joe Caffrey will travel with them over Thanksgiving and share their stories starting Monday.
We've already met some of the airmen and their families.
