Hubbard's Minnesota TV stations honored at 4th annual Upper Midwest Emmy Awards/Harold Crump inducted into the Silver Circle 10/27/03

KSTP-TV, WDIO-TV, KAAL-TV and KSTC.TV, Hubbard Broadcasting’s Minnesota television broadcast stations, took home 23 out of 61 Emmy statues at the Regional Emmy Awards of the National Television Academy Upper Midwest Chapter.  The “Emmy” recognizes excellence in television broadcasting.  This fourth annual awards event was held Saturday, October 25th, at The Metropolitan in Golden Valley, Minnesota.

In addition, the National Television Academy inducted Harold Crump, Hubbard Broadcasting’s Vice President of Corporate Affairs, into the Silver Circle.  This distinguished lifetime honor, the highest bestowed by the Academy, recognizes Mr. Crump’s outstanding contribution to the television industry and community at large.  A taped presentation celebrating Mr. Crump included stories and salutes from friends and career associates such as Larry Gatlin, Connie Chung and Oprah Winfrey.  In receiving the Silver Circle plaque, Mr. Crump reminded attendees of the genuine responsibility that local television broadcasters have in serving the public.

Following are the 2003 Emmy honorees grouped by Hubbard station and the order in which they were presented (eligibility airdate:  June 1, 2002 - May 31, 2003):
