KSTC.TV, Channel 45 names Andy Stavast General Sales Manager 12/9/04
KSTC.TV, Channel 45 announced today that Andy Stavast has been named General Sales Manager for the station. Andy will oversee all aspects of national, local and regional sales in this newly created position.
“Andy Stavast is well-respected in the broadcasting community and brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience to our organization,” says Susan Anderson, KSTC.TV Station Manager. “We’re looking forward to adding his talent to our team.”
Before joining Channel 45, Andy was Vice President of Television Sales at Metro Networks/Westwood One, with responsibility for sales at 125 television stations in 34 markets.
In 1980, Andy began his broadcast career as an Account Executive for Malrite Broadcasting’s KEEY-AM/FM in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He was then promoted to Local Sales Manager of Malrite Broadcasting’s ABC affiliate, WCTI-TV in New Bern, North Carolina. From 1984 to 1988, Andy was with CBS’s television division. He was an Account Executive at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, then promoted to national sales at CBS Television National Sales in New York. Andy returned to the Twin Cities in 1988 as General Sales Manager of KEEY-FM/KFAN-AM. From 1992 to 1996, Andy was General Sales Manager at WCCO-AM.
Andy has also had significant experience in sports marketing on a national basis and locally with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Twins and University of Minnesota football and basketball programs.
Andy and his wife, Mary, reside in Eden Prairie. They have four children, and their son Jonathan is an All Conference football player at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
