January 10, 2010: "Devoted to Dogs!"
They say Greyhounds like to sleep most of the day.  Well, "Hitch" must be part Greyhound because he sure likes to doze a lot.  Which is probably why he spent most of the time at the picnic napping with the pooches.  Many of our keen-eyed viewers saw him doing just that and entered our contest.  These are the five who were randomly chosen from all of our entrants:

Dorothy Sadler—Roseville, MN
Greg Lauinger—New Hope, MN
Brenda Grussing—Garfield, MN
Sharon Francis—Eden Prairie, MN

Jani—Jordan, MN

November 9, 2008 "Jason Davis: Where It All Began"
Jason headed to Australia where his broadcasting career began 40 years ago.  And, of course, "Hitch" had to ride along.  He jumped in front of our camera at the old angler's club where Jason built his boat.  If you saw him there, and entered our contest, you had a chance to win our weekly "On the Road" souvenir.  Here are the five winners chosen at random this time:

October 5, 2008 "Homegrown Entertainment"
There were a lot of locations for "Hitch" to choose from this week.  He would have been highly entertained at any one of them.  But "Hitch" is an old fashioned toad who enjoys the grassroots kind of music that comes from milk jugs and washboards. Kathy Harriman - Owatonna, MN

Timya Owen - St. Paul, MN
Richard Thorud - Bloomington, MN

There's a lot to see in Northwestern Wisconsin, and it's just a couple of hours away.  A great spot for anglers is the Fishing Hall of Fame.  It's where "Hitch" found himself in the mouth of a giant Musky.  A toad like him would make a great meal for a hungry Musky, but it was all in fun.  If you saw our friend there, and entered our contest, you were eligible to win our weekly souvenir.  Here are this week's five winners chosen at random:

Paul Belisle - Stillwater, MN
Calla Brantner - Durand, MN

This episode featured wonderful stories about a church restored to its former beauty, a fantastic fireworks display and a knifemaker who is a "cut" above the rest.  The church is located in Olivia, Minnesota, the corn capital of the world.  That's what excited "Hitch" the most.  So he "planted" himself near Olivia's giant corn cob. Here are five viewers who spotted him there and were chosen at random as this week's winners of our contest.

Shirley Buerkle - Roseville, MN
Marge Falen - Underwood, MN
Teri Hill - Hector, MN

August 3, 2008 "Jason Goes Home" (R)
Jason got to go to his homeland, England, see his old stomping grounds and witness Dave Cameron's swim across the English Channel.  "Hitch" went along, and got just a bit sea sick after being on that boat for more than 19 hours.  Here are the five lucky winners chosen from the hundreds who entered our contest:

July 20, 2008 "Unusual Places to Stay"
Minnesota has an abundance of great places to spend the night.  We were able to feature just a few.  "Hitch" was more interested in the what the architects of the "Dream Catcher" on Ludlow's Island Resort had to say, than actually taking some time to relax there.  If you saw him in that story and registered for our contest, you had a chance to win our weekly souvenir.  The following names were chosen at random from that list:

Betty Hagstrom - Minneapolis, MN
Jayne Jackson - Coon Rapids, MN
Joy Kraft - Glenwood City, WI
Russell Nacke - Fergus Falls, MN

Jodi Garrett - Alexandria, MN

Ed Shively set quite a goal for himself, and even though he had to change course along the way he completed his journey, because quitting was not an option.  Our friend "Hitch" didn't go along on the adventure across Lake Superior because being cold is not his thing. He would rather read a good book in a cozy little warm spot like the small library in Houston, Minnesota.  If you saw him there, and registered your answer, you were entered in our contest.  These five folks were chosen at random by our computer as this week's winners:

Brenda Classen - Lino Lakes, MN

February 24, 2008 "Young at 80"
He didn't want to go skiing.  He's not the bar type.  And since he can't speak, being in a radio studio didn't seem like such a good idea.  But he sure does love his coffee.  So this week, "Hitch" chose to join Jason at the Sportsmen's Cafe in Mora, Minnesota.  If you saw him there, you qualified for this week's drawing.  And the winners are:

Heather Dau - Alexandria, MN
Gloria Johnson - Roseville, MN
Lor Johnson - Columbia Heights, MN
Jeanette A. Parks - Bloomington, MN
Sharon Schmitz - North Oaks, MN

February 17, 2008 "Destination: Lake Mille Lacs"
"Hitch" went from an aircraft carrier in the Pacific one week, to ice fishing on Lake Mille Lacs the next.  Two bodies of water.  Two very different climates. If it's possible to get goose bumps on top of toad bumps, then that's what happened to "Hitch" as he sat shivering on the ice in front of some pretty cool fish houses.  He was spotted by many, but only a lucky few were chosen at random to receive our prize:

Harley A. Gordon - Ramsey, MN

He didn't. Many of you saw him, even though he was a bit obscured in the background.  We're starting off our brand new list of winners with this show. Remember, you can only win once a calendar year.

Aaron Larson - Minneapolis, MN
