Some heavy rain moved through the Twin Cities on Monday night. Around 6 p.m., a thunderstorm moved through the north metro, bringing heavy downpours and some lightning strikes, but the storm was not severe.

A complete shift in the weather pattern happened this weekend, and we have suddenly gone from too little rain to too much rain in some areas. The sudden surplus in water comes after a stretch of eight consecutive days with barely a drop of rain.

Check out these viewer-submitted pictures from the storm.
