Dairy Queen Blizzards Benefit Local Kids on 'Miracle Treat Day'

You can eat a Dairy Queen Blizzard while helping local kids as part of the Ninth Annual Miracle Treat Day.

On Thursday, $1 or more from every Blizzard sold by participating stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin will go to Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare via Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.    

Last year, participating Dairy Queen stores in Minnesota and western Wisconsin raised more than $200,000.

Organizers will also be delivering Blizzards room-to-room at Gillette Children’s for kids who are unable to leave the hospital because of major surgeries, illnesses or injuries. Miss Minnesota and Minnesota Wild mascot Nordy are also expected to be in attendance.
