Starting next weekend, you can go back in time to the 16th century.

The Minnesota Renaissance festival returns for its 44th season.  KSTP sat down with Tom Bliese from the festival, to learn more about the upcoming event.

Minnesota's is the largest renaissance fest in the country, with annual attendance of 300,000. It's modeled after a 16th century village with King Henry and Lady Elizabeth.

It's open weekends from Aug. 16 through Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Shakopee.

Tickets are $20 for one day or $90 for a season pass.
