Butch Millett, also known as “Chap” by friends and coworkers, serves as chaplain for the West St. Paul and Mendota Heights Police Departments.

Butch knew fallen Officer Scott Patrick well and, on occasion, rode along in his squad car.

Officer Patrick, Badge #2231, was laid to rest this week.

In memory of his service to the community, his professionalism as a peace officer and friend, Butch placed a message on the back of his pickup truck for all to see.

When asked why he did this, Butch replied with a smile, “Scott’s still with us in spirit. It’s my duty to remind folks of that.”
