A store owner in downtown Rochester says thieves made off with nearly $74,000 worth of merchandise over the weekend.
Rochester Police say the thieves targeted the Eye-Q Intelligent Eyewear Store.
The owner of the store, Tammie Hudnall, told KSTP sister station ABC News 6, the robbery took place sometime between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning.
“The pieces that were stolen were done so mindfully. They knew exactly what they were doing," says Hudnall.
She said only 44 frames were taken.
"They only took the high-end handmade limited edition numbered pieces. They didn’t take the moderate luxury product; they only took the most exclusive product. All of which is one of a kind,” said Hudnall.
Police say there are no signs of forced entry, but this is not the first time the store has been broken into.
