With the first Vikings preseason game Friday, the team is reminding fans that they will be enforcing the NFL's enhanced public safety policy.
The league-wide policy, introduced last season, restricts the type and size of bags allowed into stadiums during NFL games.
The bags that are allowed include clear plastic, vinyl or PVC not exceeding 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. Fans are also allowed to bring one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags and small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand.
Exceptions will be made for medical necessities with proper inspection prior to entrance into the stadium.
Fans are not be able to bring purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage, seat cushions, computer bags, camera bags or bags larger than permissible size. Additional details can be found on the NFL's website.
