The upcoming closure of a Minnesota printing business is expected to cause a ripple effect that will double the amount of job losses.

The St. Cloud Times reports that more than 280 people will be out of work when Quad/Graphics closes its St. Cloud location in the next couple of weeks.

An economic emergency report by University of Minnesota Extension and the St. Cloud State University School of Public Affairs Research estimates the company's closure will result in the total loss of 475 jobs. It found the job losses total more than $24 million in annual labor income for Benton and Stearns counties. The findings were presented Friday.

The Quad/Graphics closure is expected to affect food service, drinking establishments, whole sale trade, real estate firms and private hospitals.
