There is a new head of Target Corporation. Fifty-five-year old Brian Cornell is set to begin the job on Aug. 12.

He’s taking over after a series of challenges for the Minneapolis retailer, including a massive data breach, a rocky start to the launch of Target stores in Canada and the firing of CEO Gregg Steinhafel.

University of St. Thomas finance professor David Vang stopped by KSTP to talk more about what’s in store as the retailer fights to redefine itself to American shoppers.
