The Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis will be getting some upgrades Wednesday.
Volunteers from “UnitedHealthcare Military and Veterans” and “Rebuilding Together Twin Cities” are teaming up to make the home better for the residents who live there.
Improvements include a weather-protected bus shelter, wheelchair-accessible areas, landscaping and a new flag pole. About 40 volunteers are expected to be in attendance.
Crews will be working from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then will enjoy an ice cream social with residents of the Minnesota Veterans Home and various veteran groups.
