Gas prices are on the decline in the Twin Cities, according to a recent report.
AAA Minnesota says our average is now at $3.38 a gallon, which is down nearly 20 cents from a year ago. The state was averaging $3.56 last year.
AAA spokesman Garrison McCurtey says this is good news, because it gives Minnesotans an opportunity to travel more.
"We're in the tail end of the summer months, when people are really getting out there and traveling a lot, so this is really just another opportunity for them to go out there and get out there even more," McCurtey said.
He also says Minnesota is third when it comes to the top 10 largest yearly decreases in gas prices.
