A popular swimming spot is back open after being closed over the weekend due to E. coli concerns.

Thomas Beach, which is on the southwest corner of Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis, reopened Tuesday.

Officials closed the beach Saturday after testing showed the bacteria levels topped the state’s standards. Two of Calhoun’s other beaches remained open during that time.

The beach is located on the south part of the lake near Thomas Avenue and West Calhoun Parkway.
