Wednesday is your chance to get a closer look at a major makeover at a popular park.

An open house will be held to talk about construction at French Regional Park in Plymouth.

Starting in September, the boat launch at French Regional Park will be closed for reconstruction, but the boat launch on Medicine Lake that’s operated by the city of Plymouth will be open for public use. Crews will also be reconstructing the water mains within the park.

Reconstruction of the roads, parking lots, and paved trails in the park will then begin in May 2015.

The open house takes place at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the French Visitor Center on Rockford Road. Residents can attend the open house to make comments and hear more information about the upcoming projects.
