A 1935 Lou Gehrig autographed first baseman's mitt sold for $287,500 at the 2014 All-Star Fanfest Tuesday, July 15, at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The mitt was given as a gift to Howard Brost Henderson in the mid 1930s after Gehrig visited the Henderson family in Bronxville, New York.

Henderson kept the glove for 80 years before consigning it in the All-Star auction. "I used this glove just once playing catch with Lou," Howard Henderson said. "I have had it in my possession ever since and count that day as one of the greatest memories of my life."

Over 450 items were be sold during the Fanfest auction, including several items belonging to Twins legends Harmon Killebrew, Kirby Puckett and Rod Carew.

Killebrew's 1958 Washington Senators professional model home jersey was auctioned off for $40,250 and his 1971 Twins professional model road jersey sold for $20,700.

1991 Kirby Puckett and 1978 Rod Carew professional model jerseys each sold for $9,200.

Other top selling items which were auctioned was a Roy Campanella Hall of Fame Induction ring which sold for $86,250 and a Jackie Robinson professional model baseball bat, selling for $80,500.
