Marino Eccher, Elizabeth Eccher, Carissa Carroll and Troy Clintsman are the creators of the play, who also created "Don't Shoot the Masseuse," which was a hit comedy about the Red Scare and the evils of tennis last year.
Marino Eccher says, "It's an old story, really: Boy meets girl, girl turns out to be a zombie, boy's friends plot her grisly death, girl's zombie ex-boyfriend threatens to eat him, mayhem ensues. With songs!"
The play was funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, where they raised more than their $4,000 goal.
The tickets are $10, and all proceeds go towards renting the theater.
"I (Heart) Brains," will begin on June 26, and end on June 28. Every showing will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the historic Mounds Theatre.
