Minnehaha Creek is running extremely high in the South Metro, and officials are warning canoers and kayakers to stay out of the water.

The creek spiked last weekend- up a foot and a half- where Minnehaha Creek meets Hiawatha Avenue.

It's receded a bit since, but it's still higher than what's considered safe.

This advisory is just the latest in a series of warnings for boaters on Minnesota waterways.
