Another bear has been spotted Wednesday in the metro, this time it was seen in Centerville near an elementary school.

A mass voicemail was sent to parents and had staff members. Children were sent away from a wooded area near the playground. There were teachers who decided to skip recess.

Centerville police say this isn’t anything new, they usually receive reports of bear sighting every year.

Bear sighting have been reported in Eagan, Savage, Burnsville and Woodbury over the past week.

A bear was seen walking right behind a police squad car in Eagan around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The bear, believed to be the same one spotted and shot by an officer last week in Savage, was seen walking with an injured rear leg.

The bear was seen around Life Time Fitness when it walked right by Sgt. Rich Evan’s squad car and then wandered to a home and took down a bird feeder for a quick snack.
