The Minnesota Department of Transportation and Minnesota State patrol issued 29 citations May 17 during a limo, bus and passenger inspection at Mall of America and International Market Square.
The agencies inspected 28 vehicles as part of saturation of buses, limousines and other passenger-carrying vehicles during prom and graduation season.
Becky Ellinghuysen, from the Office of Freight and Commercial Vehicle Operations said two divers and two vehicles were placed out of service.
The State Patrol also cited seven underage prom goers for minor alcohol consumption.
The Office of Freight and Commercial Vehicle Operations licenses and regulates the more than 400 limousines and 350 passenger carriers in the state.
