With the nice weather comes plenty of road construction, and two projects are affecting drivers beginning Monday.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation closed the intersection of Highway 101 and Pioneer Trail in Chanhassen on Monday, and it won’t reopen until mid-July. Both directions of Highway 101 are closed as crews reconstruct the road.
Starting June 16, Highway 101 will close between Pioneer Trail and 96th Street. There won’t be access to the highway from Pioneer Trail north, but the highway will be open to the south of Pioneer Trail.

In Northeast Minneapolis, Highway 65/Central Avenue is closed between 14th and 18th Avenues Northeast. Crews are working on reconstructing the BNSF Bridge, which spans 15th Avenue.
The road will reopen this fall.
