Community members can weigh in on a statewide bicycle system plan during two upcoming meetings.

The meetings are hosted by Minnesota Department of Transportation officials and include a project description and facilitated workshop. Attendees will be asked about where they feel comfortable biking, how MnDOT should prioritize projects, which roads could improve the bike network, and where people want to bike long distances.

The information will be used by MnDOT to identify and recommend routes.

A meeting takes place from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at Neighborhood House at Wellstone Center in St. Paul; the next meeting takes place from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the University of Minnesota Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center in Minneapolis. Following each meeting is a public open house from 6-7 p.m.

Written comments and be submitted via email at or mailed to Greta Alquist, MnDOT Office of Transit MS 315, 395 John Ireland Blvd., St. Paul, MN, 55155.
