Mother's Day is one of the biggest weekends for a florist.
KSTP stopped by a Bachman's in Minneapolis on Friday morning to check out some of the arrangements and found the company was busy filling orders for moms - and for prom.
Bachman's Employee Cindy Egan said despite the long line of customers, it's business as usual for this time of year.
"Mothers day weekend is one of the largest prom weekends in the Twin Cities area," Egan said. "We probably do about 1,500 to 1,600 corsages."
Egan said while Valentine's Day is a huge holiday for fresh flower sales, Mother's Day is when potted plants and garden items are big sellers.
