Surveillance: Scene Near Stabbing of 2 University of Minnesota Students

Two women were stabbed overnight in an apparent robbery attempt near Nicollet Island. The stabbing happened around 12:19 a.m. Monday on the corner of Hennepin Avenue and University Avenue Southeast in Minneapolis. Police say the two women were approached by a man who demanded money.

Surveillance video from the a city of Minneapolis public safety camera was released. It shows the two U of M students waling away from the camera, and then a man walking toward them and then he turns around to follow them.
