Mother's day is not too far away, and many are planning to pamper their mom with a massage.
Angie Hicks, founder of Angie's List, recommended checking to make sure your mom is comfortable with the gift before making the purchase.
Deep tissue an Swedish are the most common, but there are a number of other massage techniques.
Hicks recommends checking with your mom first to make sure she feels comfortable with the therapist if she has never had a massage.
Also, make sure the therapist is licensed.
Hicks said to consider that a massage might be ideal for someone who has health problems.
