The Metrodome has been down for weeks, and on Thursday its final pieces were trucked away.
A lot of the Metrodome is being recycled; 80,000 tons of concrete will be used in other construction projects. Its roof cables and 4,500 tons of structural steel will also be recycled or reused.
For the new stadium, the first cement pillars and floors have been poured. The $1 billion stadium is still on schedule to open in the summer of 2016.
EarthCam has a new time-lapse video of the Metrodome being demolished, going from the Dome to a pile of rubble in no time. Check it out in the video player above.
