In times of disaster emergencies, Red Cross not only wants to make sure you are prepared, but also your pets.
April is Pet First Aid month, and the Red Cross has a new app to keep your furry family members healthy.
It has everything from emergency first aid, a one touch vet button and an animal hospital locator.
You can switch back and forth between cats and dogs, and enter all of your pets up to date vet information.
"We have found sometimes in disaster situations that people won't evacuate if they don't have something they can can do for their pets, and we've just realized throughout the years that pets are so vitally important to people that they can be a part of human preparation for disasters," Joellen Barak, with the American Red Cross tells KSTP sister station ABC 6 News.
The app costs $0.99. To learn more about the app and where you can download it click here.
