Some teams in town are wishing the Metrodome was still around. The Minnesota Gophers baseball team is one of them.

They started the season with 20 games on the road. Then the team's home opener set for Wednesday against St. John's had to be canceled because Siebert Field was still frozen. The snow is cleared, but there hasn't been time for a thaw.

The Gophers (13-7) now will try to play one game on Saturday and a doubleheader on Sunday against Michigan State.

Warmer weather is expected this weekend.
